| 9/21/2016

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship is launching operations in Jacksonville, Fla., to cultivate, train and inspire entrepreneurs through world-class education, and help them overcome the increasingly complex challenges of owning and operating a small business.

Jim Moran Institute

“We are thrilled to bring our programs to Jacksonville to enhance small business operations,” said Mike Campbell, director of the Jim Moran Institute’s North Florida Operations. “We will provide entrepreneurs in Jacksonville the education and expertise required to help grow their business, along with collaborating with other entrepreneur resources in the area.”

The Jim Moran Institute will begin its Jacksonville offerings with its flagship Small Business Executive Program (SBEP), for which it is currently taking applications until Oct. 21. Those interested should visit jmi.fsu.edu and click “Programs” to apply. Businesses that have been operating for more than three years and have three or more employees are eligible to apply. Twenty-five, non-competing applicants will be accepted into the program, which will be presented over a four-month period, with each session taking place once a month for four hours. The first session starts Nov. 8 and runs through Feb. 7, 2017.

The SBEP was designed with for-profit businesses in mind and created to be a world-class learning experience that accommodates the busy schedule of small business owners. Business owners modeling their business using the business model canvas emerge as stronger leaders, ready to capitalize on business opportunities.

The Jim Moran Institute will also launch its second program, the Non-Profit Executive Program (NPEP) in collaboration with the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida in 2017.
