Before Groupon and other daily deal sites, in south Florida there was MoneySaver Coupon Book. Owned by the Squires family, Sunrise-based MoneySaver for 22 years mailed a booklet of coupons to Broward and Palm Beach homes. Now reaching 800,000 homes, MoneySaver has held its own against online innovation, though it has its own mobile and online printable coupons. The Squires last year decided to expand through franchises. Franchise fees range from $15,000 to $22,500. It just signed a franchise deal for two New Jersey counties. The company, which employs 13, expects to add eight employees this year and expects revenue, currently north of $1.5 million, to grow 15%.
