Two private jet services — Aura Jets and Flexjet — offer flexible flying with plenty of perks.

Flexjet 25 Jet Card (flexjet.com)

First introduced in 2006, the Flexjet 25 Jet Card program offers travelers who don’t have their own plane the opportunity to enjoy the luxury of private aviation, with scheduling flexibility and plenty of perks. “Every need and want is tended to with precision and passion,” says Flexjet President Deanna White of the program.

Customers can travel by the hour on a fleet of Learjet 40 XR, Learjet 45 XR, Learjet 60, Challenger 300 and Challenger 604 business aircraft. International travelers who hold the card receive instant elite member status in Korean Air and Qatar Airways’ membership clubs for a year following the purchase of a single long-haul first- or business-class ticket, which translates to membership perks such as exclusive lounge facilities, priority check-in, meet-and-greet services and access to the airlines’ private jet service when traveling overseas.

How It Works: Via a debit card option that can be reloaded with funds

Cost: FlexJet 25 jet card debit option on a Learjet 40 XR costs about $7,000 an hour.

Where You Can Go: Nearly 5,000 airports (as opposed to the 450 available through commercial airlines)

Flexibility: Whether a weekend getaway or a business trip entailing multiple cities in one day, with 24 hours’ notice, you can be on your way.

Perks: Holders of the Flexjet 25 Jet Card are entitled to as many flight hours as they need — even non-member customers get fringe benefits such as 25% off Ghurka leather bags and accessories, as well as upgrades at Lake Austin Spa Resort in Texas, plus freebies like robes, skin-care products and a spa credit.

Dinner on the Fly

Jet Set Dining on Sunset Key (aurajets.com)

Aura Jets has partnered with the Sunset Key Resort’s Latitudes restaurant to provide nightly jet service for dinner. You can book a reservation at the restaurant’s best waterside table for two to six people and a round-trip same-day private champagne flight from just about any airport in Florida. A car and driver will take you to the restaurant at Sunset Key Guest Cottages. Also included: An attendant to coordinate the dining experience. “Our clientele expects the highest level experience, and Latitudes is the perfect partner to deliver on those expectations,” says Rick Consolo, director of sales for Aura Jets.

Why Latitudes: Dining on the patio or in the sand, fresh seafood and well-crafted cocktails

Details: 24 hours’ notice is required, and the cost starts at $5,000.
