A deep construction recession and slow recovery would seem to be a bad environment for a company that makes construction management software. Not so, says Ron Antevy, CEO of Plantation-based e-Builder. Since the product reduces labor and other costs and runs on a subscription model, where success comes from keeping existing clients happy, revenue growth has averaged 40% since 2008. “It’s a little counterintuitive, but the recession actually caused our business to grow,” Antevy says.

Jonathan Antevy founded the company in 1995 and later was joined by his brother Ron, a civil engineer and former Waste Management executive. The company has revenue of about $25 million, 300 clients and employs 90 of its 100 employees in Plantation.
