| 6/5/2013

When Joe Sefcik Jr. founded Employment Technologies in 1995, many companies were still using paper, pencil and telephones to test job candidates or conduct employee evaluations. Since then, Sefcik and Winter Park-based ETC have helped revolutionize the hiring and worker-assessment process with simulation-based testing. The company’s online interview platform has racked up numerous awards in the human resource field. For his pioneering work, Sefcik recently received the 2013 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award from Florida Southern College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1976. Sefcik also earned a master’s degree in industrial/organization psychology from the University of Central Florida and was named distinguished alumnus of UCF’s College of Sciences in 2005.
