Cott history:
1923:
Polish immigrant Solomon and son Harry Cott found Cott Beverage Corp. in Port Chester, N.Y. They make carbonated fruit sodas in flavors such as raspberry and orange.
1952: Harry Pencer discovers Cott beverages and begins importing them to Canada.
1955: Pencer licenses the rights to Cott sodas in Canada, creating Cott Beverages Ltd.
1986: Cott goes public, trading on the Toronto and Montreal stock exchanges
1990s: Cott enters the U.S. and U.K.
2002: After trading on Nasdaq since 1992, Cott moves to the New York Stock Exchange and expands into Mexico.
