Ever since John Gorrie figured out how to make ice over in Apalachicola 162 years ago, others have figured out ways to sell that ice.

It was once delivered in big chunks on horse-drawn wagons. These days, we buy it in plastic bags from coolers in stores.

But a Jacksonville company with roots deep into South Georgia has changed a lot of that.
