AUTOMOTIVE -- Charlie Tomm has been promoted to CEO of Jacksonville-based Coggin Automotive Group, which has 20 dealerships in Florida. Tomm was most recently COO. Tomm replaces Luther Coggin, founder of the dealership, who will remain chairman.

BANKING -- Miami Lakes-based Kislak National Bank has named Larry Flowers president. Flowers was most recently a president at Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Branch Banking & Trust. He replaces Jay Kislak, founder of the bank, who will remain with the company.

E-COMMERCE -- Peter Pezaris has resigned as president of Fort Lauderdale-based SportsLine.com, an internet sports media company. Steve Snyder, formerly vice president of marketing, has been named executive vice president and will assume Pezaris' duties.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT -- Daniel Mahurin, SunTrust Bank chief executive for Tampa Bay, has been elected chairman of the Tampa Bay Partnership. Mahurin replaces Rhea Law, chief executive of the law firm Fowler White Boggs Banker. The partnership is the economic development organization for a seven-county region stretching from Hernando to Sarasota and Pinellas to Polk counties.

EDUCATION -- Daytona Beach-based Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has named John Johnson provost. Johnson was most recently provost at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. The provost position had been vacant for more than a year.

HEALTHCARE -- Dr. Robert I. Lufrano has been promoted to CEO of Jacksonville-based Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. Lufrano was most recently president and COO of the health insurance company and replaces Michael Cascone Jr., who is retiring in February.

Jacksonville-based Gateway Community Services, a rehabilitation facility, has named Gary Powers executive vice president, a new position. Powers has been with the organization for seven years and was most recently chief of nursing and operations.

MEDICAL PRODUCTS -- Jay Pierce has been tapped as president of Miami-based The Pharmed Group's domestic operations. Pierce had been managing the company's operations in Cleveland and replaces Jorge de Cespedes, who will remain president and COO. The Pharmed Group is a medical supplies distributor.

RETAIL -- Pembroke Pines-based Claire's Stores, a costume jewelry retailer, has named Bonnie Schaefer and Marla Schaefer co-CEOs and co-chairwomen. The sisters replace their father, Rowland Schaefer, who retired.

Michael S. Poteshman has been named CFO of Orlando-based Tupperware Corp. Poteshman was most recently CFO of the company's Europe, Africa and Middle East operations and replaces Pradeep Mathur, who is leaving for personal reasons.
