TAMPA -- Judy Genshaft, president of the University of South Florida, is now the second-highest paid university president in the state after the school's board raised her salary by 5% to $342,720 and awarded her a $35,000 bonus. Students criticized the move at a time when some of them are forced to take classes in a nearby movie theater because of space constraints on campus. Faculty also protested, saying many of them are underpaid. Since taking the helm in 2000, Genshaft's salary has increased nearly 50%.
