UNF's New Nursing Program

The University of North Florida's School of Nursing is starting a nurse anesthetist program to be headed by nurse anesthesia educator John P. McDonough. The program, which will partner with Shands Jacksonville, St. Vincent's Health System and the Jacksonville Naval Hospital, will be the only university-based nurse anesthetist program in the state outside the Miami area. There are only five such programs in Florida and fewer than 100 in the country.
