? BB&T Florida President William R. Klich has dropped his role as Gulf Coast Region president to concentrate on the Florida market. Ken Coppedge, formerly president of BB&T's Orlando-based East Florida Region, has succeeded Klich as president of the Gulf Coast Region. Nan Hillis, BB&T Tallahassee city executive, takes over Coppedge's position in Orlando.

? Gov. Jeb Bush has appointed Robin Murphy, University of South Florida professor of computer science and director of the USF Institute for Safety Security Rescue Technology, to the new 12-member Space Florida Board of Directors.
