Florida continues streak as No. 1 in business relocations

Florida was the top state in the nation for business relocations in 2023, according to a new research brief from the Florida Chamber Foundation. The Foundation made clear that “this is not a new phenomenon for Florida,” which has ranked No. 1 in business relocations for the past 30 years, and the state’s cumulative score over that span is triple that of the No. 2 state, South Carolina. Beware of crypto ATM scams, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, AARP Florida warn

Crypto ATMs, known commonly as bitcoin ATMs, or BTMs, are becoming more common across the country and in Florida. They enable users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies like bitcoin using cash or debit cards. But there’s been a rise in fraud cases involving the machines, particularly against seniors, prompting federal and state lawmakers to file legislation to better regulate them. How high could I-4 tolls go with new system? $21, FDOT says, but not often

Central Florida motorists say they’re not happy about the first week of dynamic tolling on I-4, where the price to ride in the express lanes can rise based on congestion levels. But just wait until they see what might be coming. The Florida Department of Transportation now says tolls in the lanes may float as high as $3 per segment depending on the amount of traffic, meaning it could cost as much as $21 to ride the full length of the express lane. Now, the dining destinations rank among the 25 most photographed U.S. pizza spots on the review website Yelp.
