Work Begins on New Museum

After seven years of debate over location and design, officials have broken ground on a $31-million Tampa Museum of Art downtown by the Hillsborough River. Operating from an interim space, the museum will host “Art After Dark” gatherings June 20 and July 18. Admission is $10. Information: 813/274-8130.
