Maria Poviones Bishop, director of industry relations for the School of Computer and Engineering Technologies at Miami Dade College, has been named vice chairwoman.

» Joseph L. Caruncho, CEO of Preferred Care Partners, has been named chairman of the Florida International University Foundation. Caruncho, a graduate of FIU, has been a member of the foundation’s board since 2006.
