The Wolfsonian-FIU museum in Miami Beach is showcasing “American Streamlined Design: The World of Tomorrow” from Oct. 23-May 17, 2009. The exhibit — which makes a case for the vigor of streamlining in today’s design — features 180 examples of furniture, ceramics, metalwork, plastics, graphic design and archival design books, focusing on the 1930s and ’40s.
