» LifeConnex has a new name and a new CEO. The Pensacola-based company, formerly Swiftel, provides government-subsidized telephone service in the Southeast. CEO Chris Watson also continues as CEO of 321 Communications at Tampa. LifeConnex has offices at Tampa and in San Salvador.

Beverly Zimmern

» Beverly Zimmern has become the first woman mayor of Gulf Breeze, succeeding Lane Gilchrist, the town’s longest-serving mayor, who died June 12 after 27 years in the post. Zimmern has been a city council member for eight years.
