The opening this month of the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center — a $12-million, 10-acre, Walton County conservation campus — means school’s in session for a northwest Florida science curriculum designed to "make every child a little bit of a naturalist,’’ says founder M.C. Davis. The center’s trail, exhibits and classrooms will give students close-ups of northwest Florida biodiversity, says director Christie Scally. Named for Harvard scientist E.O. Wilson, the Biophilia Center is part of Davis’ Nokuse Plantation, a 48,000-acre preserved wilderness.
