Watch out Florida: Forecast predicts active 2018 hurricane season

Fewer kids in Florida live in poverty but state ranks 40 overall for child well-being

Kids can’t get ahead when they are behind with learning and thriving. New Florida Kids Count data shows modest improvement statewide for children getting out of poverty and for students graduating on time, but more needs to be done to improve their future, according to program officials. Pensacola Beach reports strong spring break numbers

According to Escambia County, about 30,000 more people visited Pensacola Beach in March 2018 than visited in March 2017. The numbers come from counting drivers and passengers in vehicles that passed through the beach toll booths during the month. More from the Pensacola News Journal.
