Several coats of paint, newly assembled furniture and (most important) boxes and boxes of books have transformed a Palmetto after-school tutoring center into a hub for literacy in a neighborhood previously devoid of books.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Children’s Library opened Monday at the Anna Gayle STEM Center.
