Irma, bound for Georgia, weakens to a tropical storm
After battering its way up Florida’s Gulf Coast, Hurricane Irma was downgraded to a tropical storm Monday morning. It was expected to cross into Georgia in the afternoon, leaving potentially dangerous storm surges in its wake. More from the Miami Herald, the AP, and NBC News.
