When Greg Yull took over the top job at Intertape Polymer Group from his father in 2010, North America was in the grips of its deepest economic recession in decades.

Just as ominous, the global manufacturer of packaging supplies and adhesives that the senior Yull founded and built was struggling against considerable debt and a dearth of profits.

Intertape's stock paid the price.
