"We are a luxury item."

-- Scottie Prince

For Kathleen and Scottie Prince, the path to saving their Longwood home from foreclosure may be paved with sales of belly rubs for Cowgirl the cattle dog and virtual kisses from Gertie the hairless Sphinx.

Since Jan. 29, the couple has sold enough pet-related services — both silly and serious — on a crowdfunding website to raise about $10,000 toward their March 1 goal of $40,000. That's the amount they owe in mortgage payments and fees. Their lender won a foreclosure judgment against the Princes on Monday, and the house is expected to be auctioned within two months if the Princes don't make their goal.

The house is also home to the couple's seven dogs, six cats, four birds and two bunnies.
