Multicultural moves for Burger King

» Burger King Worldwide, which has not had a restaurant in France since 1997, opened one in the Marseille Provence Airport under an agreement with Autogrill Group. Autogrill will also develop other BK locations across Europe. BK also signed a joint venture agreement with Mexican franchisee Alsea to expand through joint ownership of BK restaurants in that nation. And BK formed a new joint venture with BEBOCA, a longtime franchisee, to expand in Central America. It will acquire master franchise rights for Burger Kings in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama. The Central American joint venture, in which BK is a minority partner, is called BK Centro America Cayman and will be based in Miami.
