The ride is over for King Richard’s Family Fun Park and its owners.

After owning the amusement park on Airport-Pulling Road for more than two decades, Robert and Deborah Bickle quietly closed it Sunday for the last time, pulling the plug on the 70s-style carnival rides and everything else fun that went with them at the landmark attraction, from its bleeping arcade games to its whizzing go-karts.

“Both my husband and I grew up in the business, so when we moved to Florida this became available and we decided to try it here in Naples and it lasted for almost 21 years,” she said.

The property was officially purchased for a new Hyundai dealership.
