Nearly 900 local shoppers perused handmade art, crafts and repurposed goods at the fourth annual GLAM Indie Craft Show held at the Mustang Hangar at Gainesville Regional Airport on Sunday.

The event, inside the aircraft hangar built during World War II, was colored with noise from airplanes taking off on this unseasonably warm fall Sunday.

Leah Sherer, owner of Celebrations Catering -- which provided fried chicken, hamburgers and other food for the event -- said the noise of the engines was easy acclimate to after a while. She called the show a clear success.

“It's different. It's not your typical art show because the vendors in there are exceptional,” she said.
