Golf-Front Property

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort takes the spotlight next month when one of its four golf courses hosts the PGA Champions Tour event formerly known as the Blue Angels Classic in Pensacola.

Raven Golf Club has signed the Boeing Championship at Sandestin for three years. The course is known for dramatic water features, challenging bunkers and fairways lined with tall pines. It runs next to Burnt Pine, another Sandestin course that's slightly more challenging.

The 2,400-acre Destin resort offers 30 neighborhoods with different types of lodging and 1,600 units from standard hotel rooms to villas to four-bedroom houses.

The resort's two other courses are the Links, with a less forgiving layout, and Baytowne, with bigger greens and tee boxes for juniors and beginners.

Golf packages include greens fees, a golf cart and practice balls. Prices for golf plus lodging can range from $142 per person per night for a hotel room to $170 per person per night for four people in a three-bedroom dockside villa.
