Road Work

? Orlando-based Ascenda Inc., a client of the University of Central Florida Technology Incubator, has developed free-standing kiosks that allow drivers to give transportation officials feedback on expressway expansions, system improvements and customer service. Currently located at Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority offices, the devices eventually will be set up in area malls.

? The Florida Department of Transportation has started work on a $119-million, three-year project to reconfigure the interchange where Interstate 4 meets State Road 408, or the East-West Expressway. One of central Florida's largest roadwork projects, it includes adding ramps and is designed to eliminate existing bottlenecks in traffic.
