Florida's Best Restaurants

It's been a banner year for the Golden Spoons -- three new inductees into the Golden Spoon Hall of Fame and four first-time Golden Spoon winners. All are chef-owned or partnered. Marching triumphantly into the Hall are Angelo Elia of Fort Lauderdale's Casa D'Angelo, Nick Morfogen of Delray Beach's 32 East and Jonathan Eismann, who pioneered Far Eastern fusion fare at Pacific Time in Miami Beach.

The first-time Golden Spoonwinning chefs run the gamut from novitiate to world famous, spanning cuisines from classic French to let-it-all-hang-out Caribbean. At the head of the class-ics is Palm Beach's Café Boulud, a mission to the French provinces from Manhattan's famous cafe also named for owner-operator Daniel Boulud -- in New York, he's spun off Daniel and DB Bistro Moderne.
