Who said that?

"We’re building momentum and creating the future."

-- Justin Muchoney

Justin Muchoney, who steered Central Florida Community Arts through its recent financial tumult as interim executive director, has been hired to take on the position permanently, the nonprofit will announce today. A former Walt Disney World conductor and music director, Muchoney also will continue in his role as the nonprofit’s artistic director.

“The biggest reason I’m thrilled to remain in this capacity is because the people of Central Florida are amazing,” Muchoney said.

A founding member of the nonprofit, which will mark its 15th anniversary in the fall, Muchoney was named artistic director in 2021. He is credited with growing CFCArts’ now 400-plus member orchestra and other programs, including the establishment of two of the nation’s largest adult volunteer music ensembles, and developing the nonprofit’s nationally recognized music programs for children, older adults and neurodivergent learners.
