After a big drop, gas prices in Florida are on the way up again
Gas prices are on the rise again. Last week, prices at the pump were down by double digits. The last increase in Florida was recorded in the days leading to July 4 as travelers set off on holiday car trips. North Florida remains the cheapest region to get gas in the state, about 20 cents lower per gallon than South Florida. Palm Beach County and Tallahassee are among the most expensive areas for gas. Hurricane center ups odds for potential tropical system that could target Florida
The National Hurricane Center gives 50/50 chances for an Atlantic system to form into the season’s next tropical depression or storm with a potential path that could bring it to Florida. As far the tropical wave itself, it’s moving west at about 12 mph about 900 miles east-northeast of Antigua and Barbuda, and 1,200 miles east of Puerto Rico. More from the Orlando Sentinel.

UF, Jacksonville Jaguars announce four-year partnership
The University of Florida and the Jacksonville Jaguars announced Monday that they have entered into a four-year partnership designed to "positively impact the communities they serve while raising UF’s profile and brand recognition." Under the agreement, the University of Florida and UF Health brands will be displayed prominently at Jaguars games at both domestic and international venues — as the Jaguars typically play at least one "home" game per year in London. Amid a childcare crisis impacting thousands of Sarasota-Manatee families and businesses, advocates are busy getting the word out about new state tax credits available to employers who help their workers with childcare. Inside the Rishi Snacks commercial kitchen in Miami, workers prepare trail mix while preparing themselves for life. Vijay and Manisha Patel launched the business a year ago and named it after their 21-year-old son Rishi, who is autistic. "A big reason we started was for Rishi to have a purpose in life, to have something that he's contributing to," recalled Vijay Patel. Rishi and his schoolmates clock in several days a week to learn skills.
