Blue Origin – Designing, building and launching commercial rockets from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station; 330 jobs expected.

Lockheed Martin – Expanding at its Astrotech Space Operations site in Titusville and adding 300 jobs.

HAECO Americas – Expanding its hangar complex in Lake City with 400 jobs.

Embraer – Opening a 236,000-sq.-ft. executive jet aircraft assembly plant in Melbourne and building a seating technologies facility in Titusville.

LAN CARGO – Opening its first maintenance hangar in the U.S. at Miami International Airport to handle 300,000 tons of cargo annually between Miami and South America.

With the crack of two bottles of champagne and the blessing from a local priest, Florida’s newest research vessel, the R/V W.T. Hogarth, was christened and launched for the first-time this week. The W.T. Hogarth will be used by the University of South Florida as well as more than two dozen institutions across the state.
