Bit-Wizards: Best Small Company - No. 3

What do you like best about your company?

Tabitha Erickson
Director of morale
Fort Walton Beach - Technology

“My main responsibility is to anticipate the needs of my co-workers, who we call our wizards. Our wizards here work really hard. They have stressful jobs, so we really try to anticipate and make this like a family-oriented kind of environment and to help increase the morale. We usually have team events, and we try to do one once a month. We’re big Star Trek fans here, so we made this Star Trek month. We rented out a theater for a hundred seats and took our whole company out to see Star Trek Into Darkness, and we included their family and their friends. Occasionally on Fridays, we get into Nerf gun wars. We just try to keep the environment light and kind of happy.”

  • Take action: He should adopt recommendations and move quickly to avoid greater disaster and economic problems.
  • Remain neutral but at least make a statement addressing concerns.
  • Take no action. Gov. Scott has more important, more immediate matters to attend to.
