» Boca Raton-based Office Depot appointed Kevin Peters president/North America, a new post. Peters had been president of North American retail. Steve Schmidt becomes executive vice president/corporate strategy and new business development; Bob Moore was named executive vice president and chief marketing officer; Farla Efros, interim merchandising head; and Michael Allison, executive vice president/human resources.

» Boca-based software services firm 3Cinteractive hired Tom Holmes as executive vice president and chief information officer.

» Home builder Minto Communities appointed Steve Svopa regional vice president. Svopa has worked for Centex and Pulte.

» First Southern Bank hired Lynne Wines, former president and COO of Orlando-based CNL Bank, as its president.

» Calvin Glidewell, CEO of Broward Health's Imperial Point Medical Center, was named CEO of Broward General Medical Center and Chris Evert Children's Hospital. Imperial Point chief nursing officer and COO Mark Sprada will be interim CEO there while a search is conducted to replace Glidewell.
