Healthcare App
Not too many technology companies have a chief nursing officer. Sarasota-based Voalté just hired Teresa Anderson, who has 30 years of nursing experience, to fill that role and help ensure the company's healthcare communications products are useful to the nurses and other healthcare professionals who use them. The company makes applications that allow clinicians to communicate — and even trade text messages — via smartphone. Voalté employs 22 but recently announced plans to add 50 jobs. CEO Rob Campbell says revenue has doubled in the last two years.
