? Meg Crofton has been named the first woman president of Walt Disney World Resort. She has held numerous management positions at Walt Disney Co. in the past 27 years. She replaces Al Weiss, who was promoted to president of worldwide operations for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.

? Jim Lewis, has been promoted to president of Disney Vacation Club.

? Steve Gardner has been named executive director of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.

? John P. Johnson is the fifth president of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach.

? Karen Dow Meneses, a breast cancer researcher at the University of Central Florida, has been tapped by President George W. Bush to serve on the 18-member National Cancer Advisory Board.
