Orlando area consumers lead the nation in sit-down restaurant patronage at a rate of about 4.5 visits per month, according to Scarborough Research. By comparison, the average American visits sit-down restaurants such as Applebee’s or TGI Friday’s about 3.4 times a month. Fort Myers/Naples residents ranked last in the number of monthly visits to fast-food restaurants, according to the market research firm’s analysis of 86 market areas.
