Bay Point Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Panama City Beach is one of the few Marriotts in Florida with rooms designed specifically for executives. Rooms feature a movable desk and a flat-screen TV that uses split-screen technology to double as a computer monitor.

Prices for a standard room range from $189 to $219
a night in season to $149 to $169 in the summer.

The 320-room resort also has opened a convention facility with indoor and outdoor meeting space.

Recreational amenities include a lagoon-style outdoor pool and a heated spa. The resort also has a new 11,000-sq.-ft. spa, salon and fitness center. The Serenity Spa at Bay Point marks the latest in $20 million in renovations to the property since Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa owners Flautt-Cornerstone bought it in 2004, says John Hamati, the resort’s vice president of operations. Its Legends golf course — previously known as one of the toughest in the country — was redesigned by Jack Nicklaus. Now, says Hamati, “People can play without getting frustrated.”

Also on the property, the company has started renting out 85 new condominiums that overlook St. Andrews Bay and range from one to four bedrooms. One-bedroom units start at $299 a night in season and $235 in the summer.
