Florida is the best place to launch an e-commerce business, according to a new study. E-commerce, the act of electronically buying or selling products on online services, is expected to reach a record $1 trillion mark this year. Nexcess, a cloud platform built to optimize and power online sites and stores, evaluated the best places to start an e-commerce business based on factors such as economic outlook, local taxes, infrastructure and financial resources and scored each state on a scale from one to 10. Tampa Bay Times and Miami Herald win Pulitzer Prizes

For exposing dangers at a local lead smelter, Tampa Bay Times reporters earn journalism’s top prize — the newsroom’s third for investigative reporting and its 14th overall. Orlando’s wealth of things to do and see make it an “Unbelievably Real” destination for tourists and businesses, according to a $28.5 million marketing campaign launched Monday by Visit Orlando and the Orlando Economic Partnership. The new slogan emerged after about a year of collaboration among the tourist association and economic growth groups to sell Orlando to wider audiences. Marketing agency Razorfish led its development. Brevard County votes to use COVID relief money to fund employee raises

The vacancy on the Brevard County Board left by former Commissioner Bryan Lober has provided the Commission with leftover COVID-19 relief funds that one commissioner has found a use for — to use for raises for county employees. Board members approved a proposal from Commissioner John Tobia for a cost-of-living adjustment for county employees of $1 per hour or 5.38%, whichever is greater. More from Florida Today.
