Welwaze Medical has developed an FDA-cleared device that detects breast cancer early

Called Celbrea TMD, the device consists of two disposable, sensor-filled discs designed to be used at home for 15 minutes as part of a self-care routine. The discs stick to each breast while temperature-measuring sensors look for thermal abnormalities — a possible early sign of breast cancer. An app creates personalized recommendations based on the results.
Alex Ness, founder and executive chairman of Welwaze, says the target market includes women with an increased risk of breast cancer, women who live in rural, underserved areas and women who simply want to be proactive about their health.
