"If I can donate another 10 years, I might make 500."

Donating is second nature to Diane Meyer.

The Florida woman met a personal goal Tuesday, donating blood for the 300th time at an area hospital.

Meyer, 69 wore a red shirt as she sat down at the Community Blood Center at NCH North Naples Hospital, the newspaper reported.

Meyer has been donating platelets every other week since 2013, using the two hours it takes to read a book.
