Moffitt Cancer Center doctor asks Ringling students to use VR to aid patients

Dr. Sarah Hoffe, who heads Moffitt Cancer Center’s gastrointestinal radiation oncology section, is well schooled in treating cancer, but still looks for ways to reduce the stress and anxiety that patients feel during treatment.

“I’ve been at Moffitt 12 years, and in that time there have been a lot of new advances and new technologies,” Hoffe says. “But I’ve also seen it become increasingly more difficult terrain for patients to navigate.”
