Big space-launch day fizzles as three of four missions scrubbed

The stars didn’t quite align for a record day for rocket launches. Three missions scheduled for Tuesday were scrubbed. Elon Musk’s SpaceX postponed a launch of a Global Positioning System satellite for the U.S. Air Force from Cape Canaveral, Florida, citing a technical issue involving its rocket sensors. Intertape boosts woven business with $21 million acquisition

Intertape Polymer Group Inc. announced Monday it had purchased the operating assets of Maiweave LLC for $21 million in cash. This marks the seventh acquisition in the past four years for Intertape, the Canadian packaging company with executive headquarters in Sarasota County and Montreal, Quebec. 'An unfair playing field': Gainesville looks to regulate Airbnb

Alachua County and Gainesville are considering options for regulating short-term stays at homes or rooms listed online through Airbnb and similar lodging services. Alachua County Tourism Director Jessica Hurov said the county tax collector’s office estimates that 95 percent of these rental spaces don’t remit the required monthly 5 percent bed tax.
