Florida Lottery reports record growth

Thanks in part to strong Powerball and Mega Million jackpots, Florida Lottery sales grew eight percent to a record $6.7 billion over the past year, according to the state agency. Officials anticipate up to $1.75 billion of the money generated by the sales will be transferred to the state's Educational Enhancement Trust Fund. More from WTXL and WWSB.

Two launch towers tumble at Cape Canaveral's historic Launch Complex 17

Interstate 4 overhaul up to 8 months behind schedule, $100 million over budget

The rebuilding of Interstate 4 is up to eight months behind its scheduled completion in 2021 and $100 million over budget, according to state officials and reports from Moody’s Investors Service. Work began in 2015 along a 21-mile section of I-4 north of State Road 434 in Seminole, through Orlando and west of Florida’s Turnpike in Orange County. More from the Orlando Sentinel.

David Beckham wants to build one of the largest retail centers in Miami
