Florida unemployment holds at 3.9 percent, state adds 9,600 jobs

Florida’ economy appears to have plateaued with its unemployment rate holding at 3.9 percent for the seventh straight month. According to the April report released Friday, the Sunshine State added a modest 9,600 jobs over the month. More from the Tampa Bay Times.

Don't mess with success (aka Florida's global trade sector)

Global trade continues to provide a strong foundation for Florida’s economy, according to a new report from Business Roundtable. Global trade facilitated $50.4 billion in Florida goods and $42.6 billion in Florida services exports in 2016, when Florida companies reached customers in 231 countries and territories.
