State of State speech: Gov. Scott wants tax cuts, laws to fight opioid crisis

Gov. Rick Scott wants more tax cuts this year, as well as protections for people who report sexual misconduct, laws to fight the opioid crisis and more child protective investigators. Scott laid out his goals for the legislative session during his final State of the State speech Tuesday. Scott also reflected on the state's recovery after Hurricane Irma. More from the AP.

Harris named VP of Jacksonville-based CSX

Changes continue at the top of CSX. The railroad has named Edmond L. Harris as its executive vice president of operations, effected immediately. St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport breaks record

St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport saw more than 2 million passengers for the first time ever in 2017. Traffic was up 12 percent last year, with a total of 2,055,269 passengers. That made 2017 the third straight year that it has broken its all-time passenger record. More from the AP.

Orlando Magic, Uber partner for ride-sharing spots near Amway Center

In what amounts to a sponsorship agreement between the two companies, the Magic will incorporate Uber into their app. That will allow season-ticket holders to pay for Uber rides using Magic Money, which ticket holders can earn by selling unused game tickets back to the team.
