The Florida House of Representatives is moving forward with legislation aimed at reducing the number of public workers in the state’s traditional pension fund. In the third quarter of last year, 22 percent of Florida's public workers chose the 401(k) — type plan, 17 percent chose the traditional pension plan and 61 percent moved into the pension plan by default.
