?Felicidades! Three Florida law schools made Hispanic Business magazine's recent ranking of the top 10 law schools in the U.S. for Hispanic students. The University of Miami edged out the University of Texas at Austin for the No. 1 spot. The magazine said UM, which has 15% Hispanic enrollment, "offers a strong international business curriculum with particular focus on Latin America." The University of Florida, with 10% Hispanic enrollment, ranked sixth. Florida State, with 9% Hispanic enrollment, ranked 10th.

Stetson College of Law has built the first "elder-friendly" courtroom in the country. Full of features designed for people with reduced vision, limited hearing and other physical disabilities, the high-tech gadgetry includes touch screens, electronic gates that open automatically, hearing amplification devices, flat-panel monitors, refreshable Braille displays and more. Stetson professors Rebecca Morgan and Roberta Flowers spearheaded the project. Initially, the courtroom will be used for Consumer Protection Program activities that educate elders about various sorts of fraud. But Morgan and Flowers are working to make it available for actual court proceedings involving people with special needs.
