» The Orange County Regional History Center in downtown Orlando has received accreditation by the American Association of Museums. Fewer than 5% of museums nationwide hold the distinction.

» Harris Rosen, president and COO of Rosen Hotels & Resorts, has donated $3.5 million for a Southwest Orlando Jewish Community Campus in the Dr. Phillips area. The donation was the largest ever for the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando and brings the total raised for the project to $5.5 million.
