Game Phase

LPGA player Carolyn Hill likes both the courses and the practice area at the Grand Cypress Resort.

LPGA player Carolyn Hill says the golf courses at the Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando are some of her favorites in Florida. They're beautifully designed with oak trees and lots of water. Great guest villas line the courses. "The practice area is one of the best in the country," she says.

But when it comes to tuning her game, Hill turns to the Dave Pelz Scoring Game School in Boca Raton. Lessons are geared toward the short game -- putting, chipping, pitching and bunker playing. Pelz has several locations nationwide but only one in Florida, at the Boca Raton Resort & Club.

Hill has taken a hiatus from the pro tour to launch a mortgage banking career, joining Credential Mortgage in St. Petersburg a year ago. But she plans to play on the Champions Tour in the future.
