Publix Super Markets Inc. announced that John Provenzano will be joining the company as vice president of government relations. Provenzano, 43, will assume responsibilities for the company's local, state and federal government affairs, as well as its political action committee, effective June 12, 2017. Currently, Provenzano is Executive Director of the National Association of State Treasurers (NAST).

Florida Governor Rick Scott has appointed Jackie Schutz Zeckman to be Chief of Staff of the Governor’s Office, beginning July 1st. Schutz Zeckman has been serving as Governor Scott’s communications director and chief spokesperson since December 2014. Prior to that, she served as deputy communications director for Governor Scott’s successful reelection campaign.

Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital named cardiothoracic surgeon Jeffrey Jacobs, M.D., FACS, FACC, FCCP and cardiologist Gary Stapleton, M.D. as co-directors of the Johns Hopkins All Children's Heart Institute. The two are overseeing the U.S. News and World Report ranked pediatric cardiac surgery and cardiology programs at the hospital.

Veteran police chief Creig Doyle was recently named Flagler College’s director of Safety & Security, after serving in an interim director capacity at the college since January. Tech Data Corporation announced the nomination of Karen Dahut for appointment to the company's Board of Directors. Adventist Health System has appointed David Ottati, current CEO for Florida Hospital Waterman, to serve in a new role as president/CEO of the Central Florida Division - North Region. The Central Florida Division - South Region will include all Orlando-area Florida Hospital facilities. Ottati will report to Daryl Tol, president/CEO of both Adventist Health System's Central Florida Division, as well as the South Region.
